A few Medical Colic Remedies
When you take your baby to the doctor to have Colic diagnosed, the doctor will do a physical examination. He will ask you questions regarding symptoms and behavior. If you kept a journal, this is a great time to show it to the doctor. If he thinks that there might be some more serious problem he might order x-rays or other diagnostic tests. However, these tests are not always necessary. When your doctor has a clear understanding of what is going on treatment options will be discussed. This is a great time for you to ask any questions that you may have.
Kyle saw the pediatrician and she prescribed an acid reflux medicine for infants that helped him a ton. Some infants have Colic symptoms, but do not need the acid reflux medicine. As these are two different, but very similar conditions. However, if the doctor tries the acid reflux medications and they are not effective they usually take them off the meds and try something else to help. I was told that the acid reflux medications will alleviate the pain they are feeling, but the spitting up and vomiting will continue because often times the sphincter muscle is not fully developed yet.
Alternative colic remedies
Some parents, under a pediatrician's supervision, have tried and had great success with probiotics. Alternative options include over the counter medications on a time schedule, herbal remedies and glucose (again, be sure that your pediatrician is in agreement with these treatments). There are also treatments that do not include any medications at all, such as infant chiropractic, infant massage and even infant physical therapy.
Well, let me be the first to tell you that I know what you are going through, and I completely empathize with you! I know I have given you lots to think about here. The e-book will give you a much more in depth view of what Colic is and how to cope with it and treat it.
When you click here to receive your e-book, you will get it instantly. You will not have to wait to have it shipped or any of that nonsense. As parents of babies with Colic, the one thing we know for sure is that we want our babies to be happy and comfortable immediately. It would be nice to get a couple hours of sleep, wouldn't it? You might actually be able to leave the house for an hour or so without your baby screaming the entire time you are out in public. So, what are you waiting for? Check it out! It was definitely worth it to me. I hope you get the answers you are looking for, as well.
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Now that my Kyle is happy much more often than not, I have a little bit more time at my disposal.
